With over 24 years at TSGI, Tony Jones serves as the General Manager of Construction. A lifelong Alaskan, he was born and raised in Palmer, where he still resides with his family. Starting as a first-year apprentice, Tony has worked his way up through dedication and hard work, now playing a key leadership role in shaping the company’s success.
As General Manager, Tony collaborates closely with estimators, field foremen, administrative staff, contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution. He actively contributes to the TSGI Safety Committee and the ESOP Committee, demonstrating his commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement. He thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoying problem-solving and implementing strategies that enhance both field and office operations.
Tony’s career growth at TSGI has been defined by adaptability and leadership. After completing his apprenticeship here, he advanced to journeyman, then foreman, and later transitioned into office leadership as a Field Operations Manager in 2014, stepping into the role after a retiring mentor. His responsibilities continued to expand, and in 2023, he became General Manager of the Plumbing and Electrical division. In addition to his leadership role, he serves as the Mechanical Administrator for the plumbing department, ensuring quality and efficiency across all projects.
Outside of work, Tony is a dedicated family man, married with three children. A true Alaskan at heart, he enjoys the great outdoors—whether it’s hunting, fishing, or jumping at any adventure he can talk himself into. Known for his strong work ethic and passion for growth, he is always looking for ways to improve—both personally and professionally.
Tony is driven by the desire to ensure TSGI is the safest and most respected MEP shop in Alaska. His leadership fosters a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement, ensuring that the company and its employee-owners continue to thrive.
